By sheer coincidence (really) the first time it needed changing I took it to a place that offered a year's guarantee. Fortunately we were able to think our way out of that predicament. But we were a bit sobered too, no fist-pumping in the air or "Take that" shouts. It was one of those situations where we felt grateful to escape with the knowledge not to feel arrogant that the universe gave us a break.Leigh Lundinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07921276795499571578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3119105822589181967.post-33103744395877809452017-02-05T19:04:28.390-05:002017-02-05T19:04:28.390-05:00Very inventive. Part of the problem was our knowledge of that area was sketchy and we had no idea where we might find help or a motel, and I imagine AAA laughing their tails off.

When I attended Rose Tech, students became annoyed with the early morning grounds maintenance crew nicknamed Giffel's Commandos. A number of students gathered around Giffel's small car and lifted it onto one of the Commandos’ flatbed trucks. But again, absolutely no one was around when we could have used them.

Bonnie, that cracked me up. If you had needed another inch of top space, you probably could've let some air out of all four tires, driven slowly to a gas station and then refilled the tires.R.T.
