And I'm finding a new rhythm.

Something I forgot to mention and I only thought to check it last night. In addition to those sales and rejections, I currently have 12 submissions of ten different stories on the table. I'm currently working on two stories and that possible novella, and jotted down another story idea yesterday.

John, thanks for the shout-out, too. It's a thrill to see my name in TOC with so many other members of this site. My bete noire was unexpected fallout from anesthetic -- erosion of memory and focus that goaded me (& other artists in the same boat) to fight back via diet, exercise, sleep, work habits. I told my cardiologist, and he changed my medications. It was like a dam burst loose, and the following year was one of my most productive writing years ever. I think it's important that we, as writers, let our doctors understand how disruptive it is to our wellbeing when we can't write.Michael Brackenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01072019804281421944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3119105822589181967.post-27086221816472787382020-12-21T15:11:07.542-05:002020-12-21T15:11:07.542-05:00I don't think there's any such thing as &q...I don't think there's any such thing as "not enough" in either writing, sending out, acceptances, or rejections as a measure of industry. If I'm sure of one thing, it's that the marketplace has nothing to do with the quality of your writing or mine or that of the other SleuthSayers and most of the writers we hang out with. You do the best you can and what you have the heart for one day at a time, and it's enough. Or go hang ornaments on the Xmas tree.
