(I don't mind doing it but I'm prone to over-examining things. I've already stopped a few other times in this book to verify other small issues)AKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06365529500261408035noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3119105822589181967.post-92023935974796505262013-07-03T00:24:31.846-04:002013-07-03T00:24:31.846-04:00Mr. Andrews: First of all, add my Congrats to the...Mr. Andrews: First of all, add my Congrats to the rest. When I was in the Army, we were taught "stay to the right." So guess what? When I enter a grocery market I go left, then work my way clockwise. Sorry, Leigh. But you already know I'm a bit odd. The conclusion then was that North Americans tended to hug walls to their right, resulting in counterclockwise movement through the store.Leigh Lundinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07921276795499571578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3119105822589181967.post-14056877620681854782013-07-02T21:39:31.011-04:002013-07-02T21:39:31.011-04:00Dale, Congratulations on the story sale. Jack Reacher would never be able to find my father, God rest his soul, because my father had absolutely no sense of direction at all. He could get lost going home, and would turn left, right, or any way he wasn't supposed to go!Eve Fisherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03015761600962360110noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3119105822589181967.post-68495917549820830512013-07-02T14:59:11.780-04:002013-07-02T14:59:11.780-04:00That is magic! And, a fascinating article.

Seems to me (and this is based on nothing but my own faulty recollection) that suppositions like the one you mention in that novel are more likely to occur in suspense or thriller-type mysteries, than in fair play who-dun-its. Anyone agree? Or, do I seem off-base?
Dixon Hillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11220791609338404147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3119105822589181967.post-21395297263117536292013-07-02T13:39:47.601-04:002013-07-02T13:39:47.601-04:00That's magic, Dale! That's magic, Dale!David Deanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13005457506363262838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3119105822589181967.post-77378426414011864542013-07-02T13:37:18.848-04:002013-07-02T13:37:18.848-04:00Our sense of direction is a funny thing. Elevate your right foot and begin moving your right foot in a clockwise circle in the air. While doing this with your right hand index finger draw a figure "6" in the air. Watch what happens to that foot!
Dale Andrewshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10553503281187956955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3119105822589181967.post-71312227334233567142013-07-02T12:26:21.844-04:002013-07-02T12:26:21.844-04:00I'm right-handed, but I mouse with the left ha...I'm right-handed, but I mouse with the left hand because my daughter is left-handed. In the UK, where the cars come up behind pedestrians on the left, I assume they walk on the right. And when I write, I don't always know who the murderer is. I've heard that Agatha Christie herself used to go in and plant the clues after she'd written the first draft. :)Elizabeth Zelvinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13944424094949207841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3119105822589181967.post-58171067155471912662013-07-02T07:40:59.075-04:002013-07-02T07:40:59.075-04:00Congratulations on your EQMM story!
