My Hubby has always supported my writing life whether it was writing myself or teaching writing or heading to a writers' conference.

Glad you found you grove back. Yes, the beach is the best way to do that. I'm working on getting back to writing right now as I lost my grove due mostly to aging, medical issues, and rejections.Pat Marinellinoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3119105822589181967.post-6856806657758673132017-04-20T17:24:22.178-04:002017-04-20T17:24:22.178-04:00Thanks for all the terrific comments!

She's also a writer herself! Her first novel is at the editor's as we go to press even now.

SO proud of her!Brian Thorntonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14164348967846859987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3119105822589181967.post-9042722157179638492017-04-20T12:23:34.634-04:002017-04-20T12:23:34.634-04:00If you as a reader enjoyed this article as much as...If you as a reader enjoyed this article as much as I, look for essays like these during our Family Fortnight+ starting the 29th. And I agree with B.K. - writers' spouses don't get nearly enough credit for their help and support. And what a cool rock! I know I wouldn't have lasted long as a writer without my husband's constant encouragement and generosity. When our daughters were little, that often meant that he took them on an outing or did something else to clear some writing time for me. These days, with our daughters all grown up and on their own, writing time is much easier to find, but he still finds countless ways to help me along and keep me going. I'll never be able to thank him enough.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17673578800047888317noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3119105822589181967.post-47933238838219479092017-04-20T09:57:36.848-04:002017-04-20T09:57:36.848-04:00Brian -- Love this post, and I can connect to so m...Brian -- Love this post, and I can connect to so much of it (we have a five-year-old as well, and both my wife and I are writers, each with day jobs as well). I'm so glad that you're back into a productive groove with great things ahead!

And what's also coincidental: I've been looking at photos of Haystack Rock a lot lately, since my wife and I have planned a trip to Oregon in May and were trying to find a place near Cannon Beach! (We've since shifted gears and are going to spend time in the other direction from Portland, near Hood River, Columbia River Gorge, etc.)

In any case, just a note to say I enjoyed the post--and I'm cheering you on!
