The memo went on with a couple of announcements:<br />1. Amazon has deprecated their own .mobi and .awz file types. Files with those types already loaded are safe, but in the near future, Amazon would prevent additional files of those types being uploaded.<br />2. More importantly, Amazon announced they've finally seen the light and are welcoming .epub file types. That makes the silly and annoying conversions unnecessary. Amazon dominates nearly 3/4 of the US market, but is a small player (perhaps 10%) on the world stage. Moreover, Kobo has landed in the US in a deal with K-Mart.
