I thought the books had fallen off the radar, but an Amazon search turns up quite a few reissues---and any big public library has some. They have a little in common with Childers or Buchan, because of the period, the main difference being that Tommy is a pro, under Foreign Office discipline.David Edgerley Gateshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05302818835018859164noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3119105822589181967.post-33932450135013153922012-09-12T09:43:25.324-04:002012-09-12T09:43:25.324-04:00David, a very interesting post. It must have gone into the public domain recently. :) I could have sworn I had a copy on my shelves (an older edition, bought at Malice or Bouchercon for a nostalgic reread), but I couldn't find it. Maybe it went in the last purge. I ALWAYS regret divesting of books sooner or later. Your post made me want to read it again. :)Elizabeth Zelvinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13944424094949207841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3119105822589181967.post-2588323683502624952012-09-12T05:32:13.249-04:002012-09-12T05:32:13.249-04:00I've read spy novels and non-fiction such as T...I've read spy novels and non-fiction such as The Riddle of the Sands and recently Between Silk and Cyanide, but I haven't read Manning Coles!
