My subconscious does a lot of my work, often when I'm daydreaming or dozing and more again at night.

I still haven't grown use to the notion that people don't regard a writer's reading as work. Ah well, writing is a solitary profession. Leave me alone now, to ponder, to read.Leigh Lundinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07921276795499571578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3119105822589181967.post-17037678101924147362013-10-21T13:57:45.412-04:002013-10-21T13:57:45.412-04:00I first ran into Joe years ago at the Bouchercon i...I first ran into Joe years ago at the Bouchercon in Austin, Texas where he was a presenter. At the time, he cracked up his audience by talking about his short story, "Bubba Ho-tep," which was later made into a movie. Since I tend to buy the books of those writers I enjoy listening to when they talk, I subsequently purchased several of Joe's novels. Good entertainment.R.T. My favorite Lansdale novels are The Bottoms, A Fine Dark Line, Lost Echoes, and Sunset and Sawdust--but I liked 'em all.John Floydhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04001712728130488485noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3119105822589181967.post-25443973223852044562013-10-21T09:34:56.400-04:002013-10-21T09:34:56.400-04:00I'm glad to hear about the process of someone ...I'm glad to hear about the process of someone else who writes intuitively. Some days I think I'm the only one, and it can get lonely when everybody's talking about building characters and constructing plots. In fact, the creative process is completely idiosyncratic, different for every writer.Elizabeth Zelvinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13944424094949207841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3119105822589181967.post-50983751288496266122013-10-21T08:06:09.339-04:002013-10-21T08:06:09.339-04:00Good, sensible advice.
