It is a seldom visited topic.

Todd may be referring to the article about teachers. Slate and Salon play down the incidents, but the numbers are staggering.

Todd's first sentence reminded me of a statistic I came across while researching the Women in Peril article. The gist of domestic violence found the percentages male on female, female on male, and male on male injurious behaviors were about the same. However, to everyone's surprise, the female on female (lesbian) violence pegged many points higher than other relationships. I don't recall what the theoretical explanaiton might have been.

Good article, Mary.
Leigh Lundinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07921276795499571578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3119105822589181967.post-23297191470314144932018-10-14T15:23:20.483-04:002018-10-14T15:23:20.483-04:00Predators are predators, male or female. About 10 years ago I was friends with a couple across the street. I had heard from an unreliable source(!) that the woman used to beat up on the man & this turned out to be true. They moved away & I don't know what became of her, but I do know that he died.Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00239163766419735693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3119105822589181967.post-51394048042171252132018-10-14T09:03:49.758-04:002018-10-14T09:03:49.758-04:00Nobody's immune from being a victim or victimi...Nobody's immune from being a victim or victimizer, depending on their circumstances. I know from direct experience in one case...it's disgusting the degree to which men engage in such behavior, but the degree of violence by women is indeed infrequently considered, or when done so, treated as somehow sexy. Particularly, of course, when it's women sexually exploiting minors. Todd Masonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01815516018079824802noreply@blogger.com
