Unless your dream is about smothering in pillows...
It's impressive you remember your dreams in such detail - such great material for writing! I wake up with a vague sense that something happened - but not much else. You, my friend, have vivid worlds to gather writing material from. An...What an exciting life you live in those dreams. And it's not fair for that table to have the audacity to hit you in the eye. Actually, I'm a little more inclined to think it was the red wine you consumed, you staggared and fell and that's how your eye got hurt. Everyone wants to tell a good story when they get hurt in a dumb way and yours is a doozy.
OK, say I believe you. Please take care of yourself. Glad it wasn't worse. Hope the medicine keeps working. A quiet little cosy would do nicely.

RT, I’ve often thought the truest heroes are terrified, but they follow through anyway. There would be no bravery if there were no fear.

A few things are really difficult to talk about. For years I thought about telling one incident, but couldn’t get it on paper. I eventually wrote a draft, but the tone didn’t sound right and it’s difficult stripping out the emotion. Maybe some day.

In the meantime, I’m up for those drinks, RT.Leigh Lundinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07921276795499571578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3119105822589181967.post-16566196451870193442017-08-06T15:51:50.232-04:002017-08-06T15:51:50.232-04:00Thanks, Steve. Remembering dreams is a mixed bless...Thanks, Steve. Remembering dreams is a mixed blessing. They can have an emotional impact. One girlfriend used to wake up angry. In her dream, I’d done something wrong and it would take her a couple of hours to get over it!

Rob, thank you and thanks for covering for me during my ‘outage’. I debated using a different Nemo strip from McCay, but chose not to for that very reason. 111 years ago, he was considered ultra-progressive. Throughout much of the series, Little Nemo’s best male friend was a black child. The problem: he was dressed in pseudo-wild-native costume and his features looked a bit blackface, a caricature rather than a character. Although McCay’s heart seemed to be in the right place, today’s political correctness would condemn it as hopelessly racist. Maybe some day we can move past that.Leigh Lundinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07921276795499571578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3119105822589181967.post-82580699617721237492017-08-06T15:11:26.726-04:002017-08-06T15:11:26.726-04:00Damn. Best wishes from this end.

And, yes, I've always found it best to leave the closet doors in the mind stay closed, if possible. Observe all, let little real stuff out.

As for heroes, the saying roughly goes that a brave man is scared, but takes action anyway.
